Welcome to the Lamoine Emergency Amateur Radio Club Home Page!
The Lamoine Emergency Amateur Radio Club is a not-for-profit organization that provides support for its members in all aspects of Amateur Radio. We conduct monthly meetings and provide commuication to the local community during times of emergencies, disasters, and various drills. We provide weather spotting communications during times of severe weather, communications during Macomb Heritage Days parade and fly-in, Macomb go-cart races, and September Balloonfest as well as other activities.
In memorial to silent key Chuck Gill and the wishes of his son
Dave
Gill K9FHX, the call W9SSP was applied for using the vanity callsign
program. It is now used to identify the 2 meter repeater on
147.06/147.66 MHz. You will need to use a CTCSS tone of 103.5 to access
the repeater. This repeater is located on the WIUM radio tower at Horn
Lodge campus on the south edge of Macomb.
The 70 centimeter repeater operates on 444.300/449.300 with open
carrier access. The other club callsign WB9TEA is used to identify the
444.300 MHz repeater. This repeater is located on top of the Lincoln
Hall residence hall at WIU campus.
In addition, McDonough Co. ESDA
has a dual band radio located in the ESDA weather radar room at
Memorial Hall on WIU campus for severe weather spotting activities.
Members of our club
help operate the weather radar during times of severe weather. Contact
the local ESDA director if you are interested in weather spotting.

Organization meetings have been scheduled for the last Thursday of the month at 7 pm at the Salvation Army Chapel 505 N Randolph St. in Macomb, IL. Please come to the meeting, volunteers are needed to help man the canteen.
